Agave Americana Mediopicta

Agave americana 'Mediopicta'

Agave americana 'Mediopicta' has a creamy-white stripe down the center of each blue-green leaf, so it lights up a bed or a large container. It's slower and more compact than the plain century plant and handles Arizona sun with a little afternoon shade. A standout accent for Fountain Hills yards; come pick yours in person.

Sun: Morning sun, afternoon shade; the striped leaves can sunburn

Water: Low; water every 2 to 3 weeks in summer

Mature size: 3 to 4 ft tall, 4 to 6 ft wide

Best for: Statement pots, entryways and xeriscape beds
